Transmission of digital signals is today more frequently used than transmission of analog signals. One reason for this is that a digital signal is less sensitive to noise than an analog, another reason is that almost all signals today are handled in a digital format. This thesis describes the development of a system that receives digital video signals through FireWire. The standard for FireWire, which is a high performance serial bus, is under development. Today the standard of the bus supports transmission of data with a speed of up to 400 Mbit/s.

Undersökningen vill visa om vald sökmotoroptimering påverkar en webbsidas SERP- placering1 för sidor med video. I arbetet undersöks bland annat video-sitemap och schema.orgs uppmärkning för video.En empirisk undersökning har utförts med tre testdomäner där olika sökmotoroptimeringstekniker implementerats på de olika webbsidorna. En webbsida sökmotoroptimerad för video, en sida med sökmotoroptimering för textinnehåll och en sida sökmotoroptimerad med båda teknikerna. På sidorna har kontinuerligt videor laddats upp och sidornas SERP-placering i sökmotorn Google noterats på en förbestämd sökterm.Resultatet visar att schema.orgs uppmärkning för video och video-sitemap har en viss positiv effekt vad gäller sökmotoroptimering..

The goal with this project was to achieve real-time synchronized video playback over the Internet, or in other words, that multiple clients play the same part of a video at the same time.The result shows how it is possible to build such a protocol, that gives a user experience that the video is synchronized between computers when playing a locally stored file, stream or video delivered using progressive download. This was achieved by designing, then role playing to find weaknesses, and at last implementing the protocols to see how they work in practice. By using such a protocol, it is possible to navigate and discuss around a video in for example a telephone conference, and be sure that everybody is looking on the same picture..

The report aims to investigate how well a certain type of affordable embedded single board computer can hold up against today's more expensive computers in a computer system by doing various tests on a system with the specified requirements. The system has a Raspberry Pi as the single board computer which task is to control a camera based on coordinates obtained from a server as well as capture and stream a video signal on a network.The researches were conducted to check how much network traffic a single-chip computer sent in different video formats and how much CPU utilization was required. Studies were also made to ensure the accuracy of the camera control. The researches have been experimental, where several tests have been performed and analyzed.The results show that a sufficiently good accuracy can be obtained from the camera steering unit, in which two different servos have been investigated. When the video format MJPEG and H.264 are used, the single-chip computer is able to transmit a video signal up to 1280x720 at 15 fps.

Undersökningens syfte är att studera video som inslag på matematiklektioner genom att titta på elevers kunskapsutveckling, åsikter och lärares åsikter.En video om Pythagoras sats har producerats och visats i klassrummet och det har sedan gjorts diagnostiska prov i experiment- och en kontrollgrupper. Det har även gjorts en elevenkät och lärarintervju. Resultatet visade att eleverna var ganska positiva till video men att filmen inte hjälpte något märkbart. Lärarna ansåg det vara svårt att få in video i matematiken eftersom det går så fort. Slutsatsen är att video kan användas som tillsats till undervisningen ibland, men inte som ensam ersättning till annan undervisning..

It was inspired by Rosalinda Krauss essay Sculpture in the Expanded Field but builds mostly on the following three books Linda Essig Lighting and the design idea (2nd ed), Nigel H. Morgan Stage lighting for theater designers and Francis Reid The stage lighting handbook (6th ed). It discovers nine unique functions of light (performance style, dramatic style, image,illumination, 3D space, 3D form, selectivity, environment, atmosphere) and develops a graphical mapping of them based on a mapping by Reid. With the advance in computer and network technologies, multimedia systems and Internet applications are becoming more popular. As broadband network is prevailing, more clients are able to watch streaming videos or to play multimedia data over the Internet in real-time. Consequently, there is an increasing demand in the Internet for streaming video systems. As the run-time environment of such applications tends to be dynamic, it is imperative to handle transient overloads effectively. The goal of this work is to develop an algorithm that would provide a robust and controlled behavior of the video system so that important data is delivered on time to the video clients.

This project consists of an adaptation, trial and evaluation of a model for practicing. Based on prior research I created a model aiming mainly to raise a musician?s self- awareness around the different parameters a performance consists of. An additional wish was for it to simultaneously assist the musician in monitoring his or her progress. With video recording and self-evaluation as the two main parts I tried the model by using it over a period of three months.
